PMD Declares the Most Likely Date for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024. What is the date of Eid-ul-Fitr?

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that on April 9, people in Pakistan will likely be able to see the Shawwal moon. Ramadan comes to an end on this day.

According to PMD, the Shawwal moon will rise at 11:21 pm local time on the night of April 8.

It is predicted that by April 9, the moon will have been around for 19 to 20 hours, and it will be visible for more than 50 minutes after sunset.

On April 9, most places in the southern parts of the country, including Karachi, will have clear skies. In the north, on the other hand, it might be cloudy when the moon is visible.

PMD said that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on April 10 if the moon appears on April 9.

Eid-ul-fitr 2024

Muslims all over the world enjoy Eid-ul-Fitr, a very important religious holiday, with prayers, feasting, and giving and receiving gifts with family and friends.

As the happy holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr gets closer, Pakistanis are getting ready for what could be an extended vacation, since six days have been set aside for celebrations and events.

The IT ministry started using the lunar calendar in 2019 to deal with problems linked to seeing the moon and make sure that Eid celebrations were always the same.

When determining the dates of various Islamic events, such as Eid-ul-Fitr, the weather service has approved this schedule.

Traditionally, the Eid holidays start a day earlier than planned so that people have plenty of time to get ready and enjoy the happy festivities.

The government is planning a four-day holiday from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday). This is on top of the regular weekend breaks that both the government and some private offices observe on Saturday and Sunday, making the total holiday period six days.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a very important religious and cultural holiday for Muslims all over the world. It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, prayer, and thought.

In Pakistan, the holiday is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Families get together to greet each other, share meals, and help the poor.
