ATV Operator SRBC Terminates All Employees Under Court-Ordered Liquidation

The operator of ATV, Shalimar Recording & Broadcasting Company Limited (SRBC)—a government-owned entity—has officially announced the termination of all its employees as part of a court-supervised liquidation process ordered by the Islamabad High Court.
According to an office order issued on 24 November 2025, the liquidators have directed that all categories of staff must be relieved by 30 November 2025. The directive applies to regular employees, contractual staff, deputed and temporary workers, daily-wage earners, broadcast resource persons, and individuals holding additional, officiating, or leave-based roles.
As part of the handover process, all outgoing employees have been instructed to submit work-status and task-completion reports and return official files, documents, passwords, electronic assets, media storage devices, and all other operational materials by 28 November. Designated focal persons from administration, finance, engineering, technical, and station management departments have been assigned to receive these handovers.
Employees are further required to provide clearance acknowledgments, bank account details, CNIC copies, and updated contact information to the Administration Office.
The official notice confirms that all financial dues—such as gratuity (where applicable), leave encashment, pending salary differences, and other claims—will be calculated under SRBC service rules and relevant laws. Payments will be disbursed based on the availability of liquidation funds and according to priorities approved by the Islamabad High Court.
Importantly, the notice clarifies that the cessation of services is a legal requirement linked to the liquidation process and does not constitute disciplinary action or punitive termination.
The order was issued by Muhammad Atif Saeed, representing Khilji Rahat Waheed, Chartered Accountants, who are serving as the Official Liquidators of SRBC. Copies of the directive have been circulated to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, PTVC, PBC, PNCA, and posted on the SRBC notice board.
