The Xiaomi 15 Will Have a Massive Camera Sensor
If the reports from earlier are true, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first smartphones to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Fresh updates on their main camera have come out, and the release date has been scheduled for October.
A new leak from the reliable Digital Chat Station shows that the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will have a custom OmniVision 50 MP main camera with a large 1/1.3′′ sensor size and a large (but unknown) aperture.
A new multi-layer anti-reflective finish will also be added to the lenses of both phones. This improvement aims to let more light through while reducing glare and ghosting. Notably, there are rumors that the Xiaomi 15 Pro might even come with a periscope telephoto lens, which was only available on Xiaomi’s Ultra phones.

As usual, the Xiaomi 15 will likely come out first in China before going on sale anywhere else. This could happen in early 2025. The Xiaomi 15 Pro might only be available in China, like its predecessor. The Xiaomi 15 and the soon-to-be-released Xiaomi 15 Ultra, on the other hand, will be released in other countries.
Also, Xiaomi 15T models will likely come out later in 2025. These will be a little cheaper but still have almost the same high-end speed. We should soon know more about the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro since their launch date is getting closer. Watch out.
