Team Envision from NUST-PNEC unveils their prototype vehicle for SEMA 2023

On Sunday, 23rd October 2022 Team Envision unveiled their new prototype vehicle Evo-X, the latest iteration in a long line of ultra-efficient eco-friendly vehicles.

Team Envision came into existence in 2009, when a group of undergraduate engineering students put their minds together to come up with a solution to the growing problem of global warming, and the resulting climate change.

Ever since their inception, they have participated nearly every year in Shell Eco-Marathon, which is the leading international stage for universities and educational institutions to showcase and compete with some of the most fuel-efficient cars in the world, with hundreds of teams from over 60 countries in participation.

And they have set an unmatched legacy in representing Pakistan on the international stage, becoming the only Asian team to win 3 communication awards, as well as 3 technical innovation awards, among various other achievements.

the new EV is powered by a 500-watt BLDC electric motor. It has a body-on-frame architecture, whereby the body is made of carbon fiber and fiberglass, while the chassis is made of mild steel. The EV has a drag coefficient of just 0.21.

This vehicle Evo-X is set to participate in Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2023. This vehicle will compete in the prototype battery electric category.
