iCube-Qamar Pakistan Set to Launch Another Satellite Mission

With the successful launch of Pakistan’s first moon satellite, iCUBE, on May 30, another satellite will be sent into space. The future satellite, MM1, is a joint project between SUPARCO and the National Space Agency. It will help build a network of high-tech communication devices.

MM1 is set to improve 5G internet services in the country. It was made to meet the growing needs of the telecom sector.

ICUBE-Qamar, Pakistan’s first journey to the moon, reached a major milestone just three days ago when it successfully entered the moon’s orbit.

MM1 has a 7 kg, 1-megapixel camera specially designed for tasks with strict power limits. It can work in harsh conditions, with temperatures dropping as low as -100 degrees Celsius.

Its ability to send pictures at a slow 1-kbps rate will make surface-level analysis easier and give important information about where craters are, how much water is on the moon’s surface, and any signs of ice. These results, which were gathered using a variety of methods, show a huge potential for use around the world.
