According to 9to5Mac, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has already written out his 2022 predictions for Apple, despite the fact that the Cupertino tech giant has yet to confirm or tease its 2022 iPhone range.

Apart from the notch-free iPhone 14, Gurman confirmed earlier speculations that Apple will unveil its first-ever 5G-enabled iPhone SE, bringing the blazing fast cellular technology to the company’s most affordable smartphone.

According to Apple Insider, Gurman’s latest estimate for the entry-level iPhone isn’t very novel. However, it’s worth noting that his latest statements about the future smartphone are eerily similar to previous claims claiming that SE will get 5G.

Even JP Morgan analysts have expressed their opinions on the anticipated advent of 5G connectivity on the cheapest iPhone.

According to a Reuters report, JP Morgan analysts believe the iPhone SE 5G, which is set to launch in early 2022, has the potential to boost sales for the Cupertino tech giant, which competes directly with a slew of Android handsets.

The expert went on to say that the entry-level iPhone with 5G has a huge chance of luring billions of non-premium Android phone customers.

Furthermore, JP Morgan analysts pointed out that the present mid-range market is currently dominated by two Apple rivals: Samsung, a South Korean phone manufacturer, and Huawei, a Chinese tech powerhouse.

However, the brokerage believes that with the release of the iPhone SE 5G, Apple will gain a share of the mid-range phone market.

Meanwhile, Gurman projected that Apple’s flagship smartphone, the iPhone 14, will be released in 2022 without the big notch on its display.

According to the Bloomberg writer, Apple is ditching its notch in favor of the hole-punch screen aesthetic that most Android phones have been sporting for years.
