Apple will use Samsung and LG screens on the iPhone 12, as the three iPhone that the company will launch in 2020 are informally known.
At least two of these phones, possibly the successors of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, will change in size, says the report of the Asian media ET News. The 5.8-inch model will be reduced to 5.4 inches, and the 6.5-inch model will increase to 6.7 inches.
Apple will use Samsung screens for the successors of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, while the successor of the iPhone 11 will use LG’s screen, the report says. Samsung will use its Y-OCTA technology for the screens, which allows you to place the touch circuit on the screen and make a thinner panel.
The report does not mention whether the thinner screen will give way to a larger battery or if Apple will reduce the thickness of the cell phone.
ET News says that the successor to the iPhone 11 will have an OLED screen, but it will be different from that of the Pro models. If true, the iPhone 12 will be the first in the 6.1-inch family that leaves the LCD screen. This model, however, would not use Y-OCTA technology and prevent the price from rising. The iPhone 11, the best-selling model of the three Apple phones this year, has attracted users especially for its price of US $699, slightly less than its predecessor.
The iPhone 12 or iPhone 2020 is generating many expectations. It is rumored that it will be that cell phone that changes the design after three years that the appearance of the iPhone X has been recycled. In addition, the iPhone 12 would have 5G connectivity, better cameras with the rear adding the 3D scanning option; Better processor and possibly the screen has ProMotion, a function of the iPad Pro that updates the screen faster.
Apple does not comment on iPhone reports and other unannounced products.
