South Korea launches 5G technology
Technology grows every day and communication becomes easier and more accessible. South Korea would become the first country in the world to present a commercial network of fifth generation (5G) mobile technology in the hands of SK Telecom, a telephone manufacturer and telecommunications service provider.
According to Reuters, this release was made thanks to the new Galaxy S10 smartphone from the South Korean company Samsung Electronics that supports this technology which is up to 100 times faster than the previous ones.
SK Telecom’s vice president, Ryu Young-sang, said at the presentation event of the 5G technology that it is significant that South Korean companies are providing these high-quality services to their customers.
South Korea hopes that this new development will revolutionize other technological fields, such as autonomous automobiles or smart cities, with the aim that this will favor the economy of the country.
