The new tablet will use the A14X processor, says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The computer with a new screen will be a new version of the 16-inch model.

Apple is already preparing a new version of the 16-inch MacBook Pro that the company announced just in November.

The new model of Apple’s laptop will have a mini-LED display, says respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Apple will also launch a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with such technology on the panel. This was revealed by the analyst was cited by the reliable MacRumors site.

The mini-LED screens mean better image quality than the LCD, the type of panel used in MacBook and iPad today. The mini-LED is similar to OLED offering better color quality, higher contrast, dynamic range and real blacks (when turning off the pixels). Apple only uses OLED on the iPhone and Apple Watch.

Kuo says the iPad Pro will be announced in the fall of 2020. A new processor, possibly the A14X, would be present on the tablet, the analyst said. It is not clear if Apple will launch new tablets in the spring of next year, or leave them for a fall release.

There are rumors for several months about new professional tablets from Apple. It was speculated that Apple would launch between October and November new iPad Pro with a dual camera on the back as its most important novelty, but Apple only launched AirPods Pro and the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
